Obama at the AIPAC conference

‘Haaretz’ reports that Israel has welcomed Obama’s statement at Sunday’s AIPAC conference in Washington in which he stresses that Israel has the right to defend itself. Or, in other words Israel has the right to a premeditated so-called “preemptive” attack on Iran. However, he adds that:

“Iran’s leaders should know that I do not have a policy of containment; I have a policy to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. And as I’ve made clear time and again during the course of my presidency, I will not hesitate to use force when it is necessary to defend the United States and its interests.

The link between “will not hesitate to use force” and the eventuality of Iran “obtaining a nuclear weapon” is obvious. It might only be implied but we need not doubt that what we have here is a threat from Washington to wipe out thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of Iranian citizens. Is this threat alone not a violation of international law? Of course, it might be worth mentioning that not only has Iran never threatened or attacked anyone, but that it has already been the victim of a war of aggression when Saddam Hussein, armed to the teeth by the West, launched an invasion by air and land into Iranian territory on 22 September 1980.

Of course, the chutzpah and doublespeak of these people knows no bounds and Peres tells us that Israel knows the horrors of war and does not seek one with Iran, “but if we are forced to fight, trust me. We shall prevail”. Forget the hypocrisy, forget that it is the Palestinians and other Arab Peoples who genuinely know the horrors of war, but who is the “we” that Mr Peres is referring to? Well, that is soon clarified when he goes on to say, “Obama told me that Israel’s security is an American national security interest,”
and when the Israeli Foreign Minister, Avigdor Lieberman, tells us that “American pressure”, yes apparently the United States is pressuring Israel not to get it involved in a war, will have no bearing on Israel’s decision to attack, we should start to worry. After all, as the President of the United States says; “At every crucial juncture – at every fork in the road – we have been there for Israel. Every single time.” Summa summarum ….. Israel will decide if and when to attack Iran, the United States will not be allowed any real influence on that decision, and all of us will get involved in a war that the Zionist state has decided to start.

Now war is an awful thing and wouldn’t it be wonderful if those cowardly hypocritical psychopathic bastards who might just be about to start this one, kept all of us out of it. Indeed, we should ask the question if the United States were to say that it could, under no circumstances, tolerate an attack on Iran, might it not just be that “brave” little Israel might just think again. However, that is not going to happen and, as the hitmen are about to fulfill their contracts, we might ask the question, who is the “Capo di tutti capi?”

There are a lot of poor bastards out there being used and abused; it is just not cricket "old bean". Something tells me that ignorance is not bliss, but is, in fact, simply ignorance and in the global village we cannot look the other way.
