Hillary Clinton condemns the rocket fire from Gaza

This is so absurd it really does beggar belief. A few days ago Israel killed Zuhair al-Qaissi because, according to them,  “he was planning an attack on Israel.”. No evidence of the planned attack has, of course, been provided and we will just have to take official Israeli sources word for it.

Now, considering quite a few other people died in the attack, including innocent bystanders, it might be expected that there would be some reaction from the Palestinians and there was Hillary Clinton saying a couple of days ago; “We condemn in the strongest terms the rocket fire from Gaza by terrorists into southern Israel in recent days, which has dramatically and dangerously escalated in the past day.”

This twit really is winding us up, isn’t she? Well, that is what the report in today’s ‘Guardian’ would appear to suggest when we read that: “Israel and militant factions in the Gaza strip have agreed to an Egyptian-brokered truce to end four days of cross-border violence in which 25 Palestinians have been killed“, before adding that “at least 80 Palestinians, mostly civilians, have been wounded” in violence which, has also seen “8 Israelis injured”. Interesting wording and my take on an injury is something you might pick up playing football and a wound …..no need to delve into the newspeak!

The fact, of course, is that Israel slaughtered people in Gaza and when there was another ineffective attempt on the part of those people to defend themselves, an effective attempt would, of course, be them stopping Israeli attacks, we have the U.S, Secretary of State babbling on about terrorists firing into southern Israel.  Oh and in case you “terrorists” haven’t got the message; Bibi Netanyahu said “The Israeli army will continue to attack the terrorists in Gaza with strength and determination,” …. and we might wonder, will the “terrorists” have to be planning an attack, before they are attacked and if they defend themselves when they are attacked will the very ineffectual UN General Secretary Ban Ki-moon find rocket attacks on Israeli civilians “unacceptable”? After all, these rockets are injuring people, which reminds me, I have to stop typing because I have just strained my index finger; not wounded, just a little bit injured!

There are a lot of poor bastards out there being used and abused; it is just not cricket "old bean". Something tells me that ignorance is not bliss, but is, in fact, simply ignorance and in the global village we cannot look the other way.

If you haven’t encountered sanculottist’s blog before, I urge you to have a read. Whether you agree with text or not, what is on offer is a vital counter-argument to the trite, lazy, agenda-laden press coverage that proliferates through most print and online journalism.
