No real surprises in Toulouse and Haaretz talks about Israeli nationality

Well, no real surprises there; “Merah’s death ended a siege that had lasted more than 30 hours, during which he proclaimed allegiance to al-Qaida.” Certainly won’t be hearing his version of the story and has anyone got his confessed allegiance to al-Quaida, which is after all a fairly diverse heterogeneous organisation at best, or worst, or …. whatever … Anyway, about that recording of his confessed allegiance?

Certainly, with Merah’s lawyer. Christian Etelin, saying that, “his client was in prison in France from December 2007 until September 2009, serving a sentence for robbery with violence, and therefore could not have been in Afghanistan at the time,” and the information office of the governor of Kandahar, more or less, substantiating this when stating that, “Security Forces in Kandahar have never detained a French citizen named Mohammad Merah,” we might at least doubt any Afghan-al-Qaida connection and if we doubt that, what else might we doubt? Well, as stated above, it would be nice to hear that confession which they have, no doubt, recorded.

Of course, it stinks and meanwhile from ‘Haaretz’ we learn that “those slain at the Jewish school, all of French-Israeli nationality”. Never really knew that there was such a thing as “Israeli nationality” and wouldn’t it be more appropriate for the Zionists to emphasis that those who were slain were all French citizens belonging to  the “Jewish nation”? This is not to say that I have anything against dual nationality, or rather dual citizenship,  per se, but any chance of them letting Edward Said or Yassir Arafat or ….. being reburied in the home of their fathers? No, that is not how it works, at least not in the “Jewish democracy.”

There are a lot of poor bastards out there being used and abused; it is just not cricket "old bean". Something tells me that ignorance is not bliss, but is, in fact, simply ignorance and in the global village we cannot look the other way.

  1. One thing is for sure, he wasn’t going to get any opportunity to contradict the official version in any way!

“The snipers opposite attempted to neutralise him. In the end, Mohamed Merah jumped through a window, gun in hand, and carried on firing. He was found dead on the ground.” Aye right, and the band played believe it if you like.

    Will read the play.
