Craig Murray, who was the British ambassador in Tashkent, until October 2004, would appear to be a pretty decent chap. In fact, so decent, it would seem, that he was unable to turn a blind eye on rape with bottles, torturing – including the boiling to death of dissidents – and the CIA and MI6’s cooperation with the Karimov regime in those atrocities . Well, Craig that is how they do things and if you don’t like it ….. Craig didn’t, he went public and, to cut a long story short, he was removed from his ambassadorial post on 14 October 2004 and subsequently agreed to resign from the FCO in February 2005.
A real full blown ambassador whistleblower, that is quite something, a bit like Britain’s ambassador to the “Jewish Democracy”, the Zionist Mathew Gould, revealing the ins and outs of Britain’s ongoing collusion in Zionism’s high crimes, crimes and misdemeanors. Well that is not going to happen and so back to the thoroughly decent Craig and to his recent article on Uzbekistan, the ‘Karimov’s Cash In’. Craig writes:
“NATO, including the UK, needs to transit Uzbekistan to get its 14,000 vehicles out of Afghanistan, having well and truly queered the pitch of an exit through Pakistan by a decade of bombing the locals. The Karimov family had already made hundreds of millions in profit through a monopoly of providing haulage and logistical services to supplies going in to Afghanistan. With NATO’s demoralised forces sitting on an incredibly large stockpile of material in effect stuck in the country as the utterly fruitless occupation ends, the Karimovs are in a position to ramp up extortion.”
Oh and they will “ramp up extortion” and with him already having EU sanctions lifted in 2011 it is now time for Islam Karimov to get himself over to England to meet the Queen and to get David Cameron to come down to Tashkent to sing his praises. and ,apropos “singing”, to get his daughter Gulnara Karimova accepted as the Uzbek ambassador in London. Yes, the same Gulnara Kaimova who got ‘Sting’ down to Tashkent to sing for his one million pound supper in a country where the average salary is about thirty pounds sterling and torture appears to be par for the course. Still, the fact that might comfort our hypocrites at Whitehall and Westminster. After all, if Sting, a bona fide member of Amnesty International,l a human rights and environmental activist, is capable of this sort of hypocrisy, there are no limits to what they are capable of. Indeed, I wouldn’t even be surprised if round about when Gulnara moves into her big house in Belgravia, Mathew Gould turns up in Tashkent.
