The latest news from Bahrain; “Ahmed Ismael Hassan – described as a citizen journalist who regularly filmed protests in the kingdom – was shot in the thigh and died later in hospital. Apparently the bullet had severed an artery.” Well, not quite the latest news; that was saturday and we can be fairly sure that a few demonstrators there have had their heads beaten in. After all, sunday is a normal working day for Al Khalifa’s hired thugs.
News, like this, however, is at a premium in the mainstream media and my stumbling on Amnesty International on Saturday urging Jordan “to free six political activists charged with insulting King Abdullah II, as police broke up a demonstration in Amman demanding their release” was unintentional. but, yes, you read that correctly and six men were, “charged with insulting King Abdullah II”.
In the meantime there is no escaping the ‘Friends of Syria’, who we can be quite sure, are ignoring every UN resolution under the sun and arming the so-called ‘ ”Free Syrian Army? to the teeth. Although a certain Khaled Abo Salah might disagree with me , after all he is demanding that an arms blockade is imposed against the Syrian government and that arms are supplied to the Free Syrian Army rebels. Isn’t that exactly what the UN supposedly didn’t want to happen. This has got to be a joke, hasn’t it? Anyway have a look at Khaled’s “give us guns, give us guns”, speech. ….. and the news from Libya, folks?
