Sarah Gillespie ‘The War On Trevor’

Excellent stuff and you might want to visit the singer’s website. There is an interview with Gilad Atzmon, but I suggest that you simply enjoy the clip, while cognitively processing it yourself.

When they came for the Jews, I kept quiet because I wasn’t a Jew. When they came for the communists, I kept quiet because I wasn’t a communist. When they came for the trade unionists, I kept quiet because I wasn’t a member of a trade union. Then when they came for me, there was nobody left, who could speak up for me).

About sanculottist

There are a lot of poor bastards out there being used and abused; it is just not cricket "old bean". Something tells me that ignorance is not bliss, but is, in fact, simply ignorance and in the global village we cannot look the other way.

  1. Love the attitude!
And the Niemöller quote is my favourite – I used to teach it to my miscreant pupils!

The interview with Atzmon is actually quite good; the anology with ‘The Life of Brian’ is interesting. The point being that – apart from the obvious pun – just as you don’t get prophets called “Brian”, you don’t get terrorists called “Trevor.”
