Syria and spreading lies

We really do read a lot of garbage in the newspapers, don’t we? From The Guardian’s  “MiddleEastLive”: “France threatens to call for Military intervention”. The French foreign minister, Alain Juppé,has said that he would “push for a Chapter 7 resolution – which allows for military action to “restore international peace and security. Well, we can at least be sure that he has said that. Nevertheless, is nobody asking what is actually happening in Syria and why France is actually interested in what is going on there?

With thousands of fake videos doing the rounds, we obviously cannot know what is going on and, oh, right, France is concerned about human rights in Syria! The French are as much concerned about human rights as the British, the Americans and the Gulf Arab states are. However, if we want a taste of just how absurd this all becomes what about the following for a piece of “news”.

A pro Damascus group calling itself the Syrian Electronic Army appears to have hacked the Linkedin Blog because it has been spreading “lies about Syria”. Well, the so-called Syrian Electronic Army should be informed that they have their work cut out if they want to stop the western media spreading lies.

About sanculottist

There are a lot of poor bastards out there being used and abused; it is just not cricket "old bean". Something tells me that ignorance is not bliss, but is, in fact, simply ignorance and in the global village we cannot look the other way.

One Response to Syria and spreading lies

  1. I thought the Syrian Electronic Army were an 80s-style synth-pop duo from Croydon!
