The moral outrage being expressed at the “topless photos” of Kate Middleton is actually quite amusing and the photos themselves are put into their correct perspective by Catherine Bennett from ‘the Observer’ when she writes:
“Supposing William and Kate genuinely see themselves not as contracted national pets but as any “young couple enjoying a holiday” (the BBC) they should get out of sovereignty now and take Pippa and her legendary party pieces with them.”
Yes Kate it really is a bit much when you and Willie Windsor actually object that you never invited the public into your lives. After all, the public have been getting an open invite into Willie’s family for generations now. There is, very little mystery surrounding the Windsor’s and, at least since the princesses playing for the cameras when performing wartime service, it is all about their getting closer to the general public. Indeed, without that “getting closer” their little shebang might have been derailed a long time ago and you might be living out a right old boring existence in some sort of splendid isolation. Welcome to the mob, Katie and why don’t you just enjoy it. After all, it is what you signed up for.
