Barcelona Days

Twelve weeks in the United Kingdom, culminated in a trip back to Glasgow, then back to Munich, and now three weeks or so down the road, ego finds himself in Barcelona for a few days. There is no real inclination to confront myself with absurdities such as Neanyahu’s bomb diagram at the United Nations, or Ed Milliband’s promises of a fairer society.

Real historical change, if it is to happen, will take place elsewhere and, while it might include the identity politics of places such as Catalonia and Scotland, it can only be hoped that it will be that type of change, which was, unfortunately, dealt a death-blow during the Barcelona Days from May 3 to May 8, 1937. A change, of course, which will rid the planet of irrelevant stooges such as Milliband and Netanyahu.

About sanculottist

There are a lot of poor bastards out there being used and abused; it is just not cricket "old bean". Something tells me that ignorance is not bliss, but is, in fact, simply ignorance and in the global village we cannot look the other way.
