Well, the point is, who you can kill and cannot kill is determined by international law. Or, at least, it should be. However, that is not the way the powers that be in Washington apparently see it and there might even be a little committee that decides who dies and who lives. Well, many American citizens might find that no bad thing. After all, their country is at war, albeit an undeclared, unconventional, one where terrorists and potential enemies are to be found here there, and everywhere.
Well, that just might be the problem, the “here, there, and everywhere“, I mean and the “potential enemies”? Well, for the time being it is Pakistan, Somalia and Yemen, and tomorrow it could be London, Paris, or Berlin and the enemies are called the Al-Awlakis, father and son, and Samir Khan, all American citizens, and tomorrow …. well, it might just be Tom, Dick and Harry if the little committee decides so. All very frightening and maybe it is time to re-visit Pastor Niemöller and his, “First they came for the communists.” Maybe it is, maybe it is, but just as worrying surely, what if the Chinese start behaving like this?
