Algeria hostage crisis: UK government are either fools or liars.

The link to the article on the ‘Stop the War Coalition’ website is worth clicking on alone for the link it establishes, which is substantial albeit not wholly substantiated in this particular article, between the Algerian hostage crisis and “the successive wars engaged in by Britain”, which “have had the effect of increasing terrorism across the Middle East and south Asia” and has also “spread to parts of Africa, with potentially disastrous consequences.” That link alone at sufficiently contradicts the British Foreign Minister William Hague’s contention “that there is no excuse for such behaviour”.

All serious stuff, of course, as wars and instability spread to North West Africa and on to Europe’s doorstep. However, where would we be without a sense of humour? And on that note I will provide a fuller version of Wullie’s quote:; ‘”…..whatever excuse is being used by terrorists and murderers who are involved, there is no excuse for such behaviour…This is the cold-blooded murder of people going about their business.’ Well, Wullie, while it might just be that this paricular bunch of headbangers don’t really need an excuse, you and your government have, in fact, provided them with quite a few and when it comes to exploiting pretexts, it might even be that they are in the process of learning from the hypocrites in London, Washington, Paris and elsewhere.

About sanculottist

There are a lot of poor bastards out there being used and abused; it is just not cricket "old bean". Something tells me that ignorance is not bliss, but is, in fact, simply ignorance and in the global village we cannot look the other way.
