Hugo Chavez is dead

From the BBC:

“The US described the death as a “challenging time”, reaffirming what it described as its support for the Venezuelan people and its interest in developing a constructive relationship with Caracas.”

and, with regard to Venezuela,  it is back to Tony Eagleton’s “it is difficult to say what will happen”, although there should be no prizes for guessing what they are really thinking and feeling in Washington
