Tony Blair and Gordon Brown

Craig Murray, despite no or bad internet connection, takes time to refer to the Blair-Brown rivalry that is being given renewed prominence by a some emails that the Guardian is publishing this week. In doing so he, for a variety of reasons, comes to the conclusion that Brown was not such a bad chap, but basically just got it wrong while Blair, on the other hand, “is in a whole different category again – insincere, absolutely focused on attaining personal power, and with a Messianic belief that what is good for him must be good for the World.

Well, while ego might want to look into Brown in some more depth before coming to a conclusion that is any different from the one that informs him that he did in fact support the war against Iraq, it is only with the wording of Mr Murray’s judgement on Blair that issue might be taken. rather than the essence. “……..and with a Messianic belief that what is good for him must be good for the World”?  Methinks that Tony not only doesn’t know what is good for the world, but, more importantly, also doesn’t give a toss. It was always all about what this hypocritical liar thought was good for himself.

There are a lot of poor bastards out there being used and abused; it is just not cricket "old bean". Something tells me that ignorance is not bliss, but is, in fact, simply ignorance and in the global village we cannot look the other way.
